My history of jobs.
UTRGV Texas Pre-Freshman Engineering Program (Project Coordinator, Summer 2022)
As a project coordinator at UTRGV's Texas Pre-Freshman Engineering Program, my role encompassed designing, prototyping, and providing assistance in the construction of various small-scale projects, as well as overseeing a major project. In this capacity, I assumed responsibility for managing three distinct sub-groups comprising a total of 300 student participants. One of my primary tasks as a project coordinator was to meticulously plan, establish, and effectively communicate project deliverables, ensuring that they were met within specified deadlines. To achieve this, I maintained detailed project schedules, closely monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track. Throughout the project coordination process, I imparted my expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering to the students, guiding them through various coding and assembly procedures. By demonstrating these skills, I fostered a hands-on learning environment that enabled students to gain practical experience and develop their abilities in these engineering disciplines. Moreover, I actively facilitated collaboration and teamwork among the participants, encouraging them to work collectively towards project goals. This involved fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere, where students felt motivated to contribute their unique perspectives and skills to the project teams. Additionally, as a project coordinator, I provided guidance and mentorship to the students, helping them overcome challenges and develop problem-solving skills. By offering support and constructive feedback, I aimed to empower the students to enhance their engineering capabilities and build confidence in their abilities.
Overall, my experience as a project coordinator at UTRGV's Texas Pre-Freshman Engineering Program involved overseeing multiple project teams, coordinating schedules and deliverables, and mentoring students in mechanical and electrical engineering practices. Through these responsibilities, I strived to foster a collaborative and enriching learning environment, where students could develop their engineering skills and cultivate a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
